Mohammed Al Samawi

Peace and interfaith activist Mohammed Al Samawi worked for several NGOs in his native Yemen, including Oxfam and World Relief. Since coming to America in May 2015, Mohammed has been involved with various NGOs and interfaith groups and has has been sharing his story with communities, religious groups and academic institutions around the country . In addition to being the Global Ambassador for AMEL, he is also a fellow at the International Center for Religion and Diplomacy, on the board of the Yemen Peace Project, and on the board of the Muslim Jewish Solidarity Committee of New York.

Mohammed's memoir, The Fox Hunt, which is being translated seven languages, is also in development at Fox 2000 Pictures, with Marc Platt Productions (La La LandBridge of Spies) producing, and Josh Singer (Oscar-winning screenwriter of Spotlight) adapting for the screen.
