We are thrilled to announce that the Spring edition of the AMEL Institute is just around the corner—and this year, the response has been overwhelming! With over 2400 applicants from 68 countries across Africa and the Middle East, this edition has already set a new record for interest.
This year’s Spring cohort is expected to be as diverse as ever, bringing together passionate young changemakers from dozens of African and Middle Eastern countries where they are advancing human rights, democracy, peace and more. The curriculum covers critical topics such as building nonviolent movements, conflict transformation and genocide prevention, with valuable insights from experienced activists and renowned scholars.
The AMEL Institute provides a safe, inclusive platform for participants to learn, collaborate and grow as leaders. The program is offered in English, Arabic and French to ensure maximum accessibility, and we are proud to support young changemakers with customized mentorship and learning resources throughout their journey.
AMEL Institute’s Spring session will run from late April until mid June and will be followed by the Summer edition. The program not only responds to the growing demand for such training, but also acknowledges the power of exchange and interconnectedness. The diverse tapestry of perspectives and experiences shared in the AMEL Institute will be crucial for addressing the complex challenges we face as a global community, today and for decades to come.
While our Spring 2025 cohort is soon getting underway, we encourage those who missed out to apply for the next edition. The Summer 2025 program, running from mid July to early September, will be accepting applications starting in May. This is another chance for young leaders to participate in this transformative experience and gain practical skills to amplify their activism on local, national, and global scales. Together, we can create a better world for all - join us!
